Joyful Life....

I had the amazing opportunity to attend Time out for women, with what felt like 1000 of my closest friends..... exaggeration? ...let me explain. Imagine an area the size of a football field filled with women who seem to have the same purpose...Coming closer to Christ, by finding the joy in their lives!
I want to share with you some of the highlights that profoundly influenced me. The first person I see as I walk through the conference doors is my mother in laws...oh I wish I could express to you the feeling I get when she is around. She is truly my champion. She is a kindred spirit of mine, she makes me laugh, she makes me cry and she keeps me awake till the wee hours of the morning...because she wants to be with me! who could ask for a better friend?
Speaking of friends I was able to see a 'lifetime' of friends this weekend, friends from primary, friends from high school, friends from young adults, young marrieds, from Brampton, from Toronto, from Nova Scotia....and you guessed it from LONDON!...oh what a blast we had!
The speakers and music were inspiring, I learned new ideas and relearned some old ones, reconnecting with my spirit and understanding my purpose in this world a little more clearly. It was a perfectly balanced weekend of spiritual, emotional and physical (laughter is a great workout) We stayed up to late, as only girlfriends can discussing everything...and I mean everything, we ate to much , laughed to much, slept to little and had this sad knowledge that this weekend was going to eventually end!
Some goals I have recognized because of the influence of the Spirit and some great friends... I have recently been 'complaining' that I do not have enough in my callings to keep me busy in my life ...not anymore... I have been able to refocus my view. For so many years my focus in the church has been with the youth (this is where my heart is) After this inspiring weekend I am able to understand more the depth of my calling, I am excited and thrilled to be serving in the Relief Society presidency. With my new 'understanding' of what this calling entails I will be very busy!
I am grateful for a more Joyful life, for good friends,& for beautiful experiences!
