To the Father I always wished for my Children...

I feel the need to express my love for the Father of my wonderful children...
"President [Howard W.] Hunter said: 'A man who holds the
priesthood regards the family as ordained of God. Your leadership of the
family is your most important and sacred responsibility. The family is the
most important unit in time and in eternity and, as such, transcends every
other interest in life' (Ensign, Nov. 1994, 50)."

Ian is very 'laid back' in many ways (he loves playing a good game of chess) but never in the responsibilities of his family. In fact this is one of the attributes that attracted me to him in the first place ( He is the Eldest of 8, with all this in tales) I love that he dates me every week - the best gift you can give your children is to love their mother! He councils with me regarding my callings,frustration and inspirations, He makes me laugh, helps me cry and encourages me to follow my dreams. He is a hard worker, a great example and a good teacher. (Always taking opportunities to make those teaching moments with the children) I am grateful for such a man in my life....and more grateful that he is mine for ETERNITY! - I love you Ian

My dear husband truly understands this principle, for this I am grateful.

Council of a great man........

I have just been introduced to this new world of 'blogging'..... with the intent of listening to the council of a great man...Pres. Eyring. " I wrote down a few lines every day for years. I never missed a day no matter how tired I was or how early I would have to start the next day. Before I would write, I would ponder this question: “Have I seen the hand of God reaching out to touch us or our children or our family today?” As I kept at it, something began to happen. As I would cast my mind over the day, I would see evidence of what God had done for one of us that I had not recognized in the busy moments of the day. As that happened, and it happened often, I realized that trying to remember had allowed God to show me what He had done. " His experience has helped me to understand the importance of recording my everyday 'Miracles' however great or small, In the hopes that one day my children will grow and recognize the hand of God in their own lives
What a great opportunity for us...let the games begin..........
